I have also tried to install yawcam under wine (after installing java.exe, winetricks with windos media player ) and it was ok only with the install as for the application to work, I didnР’Т‘t have so much luck : it just closes itself. I could boot up to windows in one of the computers and use it that way, but I would much rather keep a Linux only environment. I.e use 'Yawcam' and pull the videofeed from YawCam on your Presenters PC into a browser source. Is there anything like it for Linux? I am using Linux mint and Ubuntu at home. If you want to record videos, Id recommend Acethinker Free Screen Recorder which I have used for many years. I use it to check in with my apartment during the day to keep tabs on the cat (It's how I found out that she DOES sleep all day!).

Only supports Windows 10 64-bit or higher. It can either stream webcam images to the web or periodically take a snapshot and email it out. Once you are done with the settings, you can save up to 6 setting profiles, and change among them flexibly on the fly. In Windows there is an excellent freeware app called 'YAWCam' - it's a simple to set up and use webcam app.
